Birding Eastern Ecuador's Spectacular Reserves and Amazon Pricing
2022 Pricing: $2,890 US Dollars
for 10 Days and 9 Nights
Tour package includes all lodging, meals and access fees to reserves, parks and other birding sites.
Premier Bird Guide: All of our tours use the services on an excellent bird guide, often a well-recognized expert on birding in this area.
Top-Rated Preparation Services: We support your preparation for the trip. We provide information on the birds you will see and all the travel details, including all logistic details (arrival plans, trip itinerary, lodging details and more), information on entry into Ecuador and information on travel health issues, packing information and more. Most of our clients comment that our Trip Participation Guide is the best they have ever seen.
Transport and Airport Transfers and Internal Flight:
Local ground transport is included by both large transport van and boat and includes all airport transfers.
We also have a driver or guide pick you up at the airport upon arrival, and we arrange for a transfer back to the airport at the end of the trip.
Small Group Pricing: All the prices mentioned above are for tour groups of eight participants.
Additions to Basic Trip Pricing:
The tour price does not include the one way flight from Quito to Coca. We usually book this one way flight for $80 to $120 per person.
You will also need to book your flight from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Quito. These flights are currently around $600, but we anticipate most clients will book these flights for around $800. The international air ticket cost is not included in the tour price.
*Pricing Notes and More Details:
Note on Meal Inclusion: Meals included with the tour are three meals per day from breakfast on Day 2 through to breakfast on Day 10.
Note on Beverage Inclusion: Most of our meals are provided by the lodges, and we follow their practices in providing beverages at meal time. Breakfast usually includes coffee or tea and/or juice (as provided by the lodge), and box lunches include either bottled water or juice. Other beverages served at supper are your choice and are an additional expense which you pay to the restaurant directly. We provide water at the table for supper. We also provide bottled water during the birding day.
Group Size: We anticipate a group of 8 participants, and pricing is based upon this group size. We will offer reasonable small group supplement for group sizes less than eight.
Optional Costs for Booking the Trip:
Single Room Supplement: $740 USD is the price we charge for the additional cost of anyone not sharing a room with another birder (and/or a spouse). If you want a single room, please let us know. We are able to find room mates for those wanting to share a room in many situations. Most of this cost comes from the lodges in the Amazon basin.
We can also offer a single room price for seven nights (with you sharing two nights in the Amazon basin) for $260. Availability of single rooms at some of these lodges are limited; so, please let us know if you want a single room well in advance.
Pre-Paid Tipping for Meals/Lodging: Add $80 USD to pre-pay these tips if in a shared room, or add $100 USD if in single room. We do present to you clear tipping recommendations if you want to do the tipping yourself. Most of our clients prefer to do the tipping themselves.
Notes on Other Tour Costs: Exclusions:
The tour fee does not include taxes/fees for entering or exiting the country (this cost is almost always included in your international air fare), telephone calls, laundry and other items of a personal nature.
Tips for birding guides and trip drivers are not included in the tour price, and all other tips can be pre-paid as indicated above.
