Optional Extension: $1,550 US Dollars*, or £1,240 GBP* for 8 Days and 7 Nights in Southern Thailand

 

Inclusions: 

• The Tour package includes all lodging, meals*, and access fees to reserves, parks, and other birding sites.

• Premier Bird Guide: All of our tours use the services of an excellent bird guide, often a well-recognized expert on birding in this area. 

• Top-Rated Preparation Services: We support your preparation for the trip. We provide information on the birds you will see and all the travel details, including all logistic details (arrival plans, trip itinerary, lodging details, and more), information on entry into Thailand, and information on travel health issues, packing information, and more. Most clients comment that our Trip Participation Guide is the best they have ever seen.

• Transport and Airport Transfers: 

  • Local ground transport is included. This includes a large transport van for most of the trip. 

  • We also have a driver or guide pick you up at the airport upon arrival, transfers for internal flights are included, and we arrange for a transfer back to the airport at the end of the trip.  

• Acre for Bird Conservation: As part of our efforts to support bird conservation, we purchase in the name of customers (for each booking) at least one acre (but averaging between three and four acres) of wilderness to support bird conservation. As our trip prices are often 20% (and often even a better deal) less than our competition, this does not really cost you more and it is a great way to support bird conservation around the world.

• Small-Group Pricing: All the above prices are for tour groups of six to eight participants. We can provide pricing for smaller groups or custom groups.

 

*Pricing Notes and More Details:

 

• US dollar Pricing: Pricing is estimated in US dollars (USD); however, pricing is firm in Thai Baht. Pricing is based on 34.15 Thai Baht to one US dollar. Any significant change in currency exchange rates may result in a $100 to $200 currency adjustment (which we rarely charge).

• British Pound Pricing: (1) Our 2024 (and late 2023) price estimates are mostly based on US Dollars; so, our GBP/British Pound pricing is based upon an exchange rate of .79 GBP (British Pound) per US Dollar (the exchange rate on May 8, 2023). (2) We will charge you the actual transaction rate here, but please note that we work to minimize transaction costs. Using Transferwise, we usually pay under one-half a percent (and sometimes less) on the actual exchange. (3) Due to costs related to UK travel regulations, our tours booked and paid through BlueTailBirding.com (for the UK and European clients) will cost 200 GBP more.  Please contact us anytime with questions here.   

• Bank Fees: We do not charge bank fees for wire transfers for clients paying into our accounts in the United States, the United Kingdom, and/or Canada.

• Note on Meal Inclusion: Meals include three meals per day during any full day of the trip. The arrival day does have lunch and supper. The departure day includes only breakfast, as most flights leave in the morning.

• Note on Beverage Inclusion: Most of our meals are provided by the lodges, and we follow their practices in providing beverages at meal time. Most beverages are your choice and are an additional expense that you pay to the restaurant or lodge directly. We provide water at the table for supper. We also provide bottled water during the birding day.

• Group Size: We anticipate a group of 6 to 8 participants, plus drivers and one or two guides, on most of these tours. Pricing is based on a group size of 6 to 8 participants.

 

Single Room Supplement: $1,120 USD or £900 GBP* is the price we charge for the additional cost of anyone not sharing a room on the tour. This is a single supplement.   

 

Note: For extension, the single supplement is $420 USD or £340 GBP*

 

Tipping for Meals/Lodging: Gratuities for the tour leader, lead bird guide, drivers, hotel staff, and restaurant staff are not included in the pricing for this tour. 

 

Notes on Other Tour Costs: Exclusions: 

• The tour fee does not include taxes/fees for entering or exiting the country, telephone calls, laundry, and other items of a personal nature.

• Tips for birding guides are not included in the tour price.
