Discounts: If book more than one Australia birding module/tour, you can save $400 USD if book 2 modules: and, save $800 USD if book 3 or more modules.

 

*Best Deal on Australia Birding: We recommend every birder start their Australia tour with both Southeast Queensland (from Brisbane) and North Queensland (from Cairns).  Combined these tours make up 15 days and 14 nights.  With tour discounts ($400 USD for the second leg of the tour), this is two weeks of birding for 10,650 AUD ($6,830 USD).

 

• With tour discounts ($400 USD for the third leg of the tour and in Tasmania), you can add the Tasmania module (6 days and 5 nights) for 3000 AUD (just under $2,000 USD at $1,920 USD).

• With tour discounts ($800 USD for the second and third legs of the tour), this is nearly three weeks of birding for 13,650 AUD ($8,750 USD).

• Plus after three weeks of birding, you can add this module at cost.

Inclusions: 

• The Tour package includes (as priced) all lodging, and access fees to reserves, parks, and other birding sites.

• Premier Bird Guide: All of our tours use the services of excellent local bird guides, often a well-recognized experts on birding in this area. 

• Top-Rated Preparation Services: We support your preparation for the trip. We provide information on the birds you will see and all the travel details, including all logistic details (arrival plans, trip itinerary, lodging details, and more), information on entry into Australia and information on travel health issues, packing information, and more. Most of our clients comment that our Trip Participation Guide is the best they have ever seen. These custom birding tour modules for Australia require additional support for scheduling and planning and building group consensus, and these services are built into the tour price.

• Transport and Airport Transfers: 

  • Local ground transport is included. This includes a large transport van for most of the trip and jeeps in some locations.

  • We support airport transfers (whether from an international flight or domestic flight). No matter your transfer plans, we arrange the best way to get you to and from the airport to your first hotel.

  • Flight costs for international and internal (to Australia) flights are not included. We book internal flights at cost and charge you the true cost of the flight.

• Acre for Bird Conservation: As part of our efforts to support bird conservation, we purchase in the name of customers (for each booking) at least one acre (but averaging between three and four acres) of wilderness to support bird conservation. 

• Small-Group Pricing: All the above prices are for tour groups of seven or eight participants. We are happy to provide pricing for groups with fewer than seven participants, and these small group supplements are very reasonable for groups of five or six. We do find the best value tours are for five to eight participants, with most tours running in groups of six to eight.

 

Additions to Basic Trip Pricing:

• Most of our Australia groups start their tour in Brisbane; and, most tour participants fly from their home country to Brisbane to start the tour. The Northern Territories module starts and ends in Darwin.

• Most clients continue from Brisbane to Cairns, Darwin, and/or Hobart for additional Australia birding. Most internal flights cost about 120 to 200 AUD, with most tour participants averaging about 150 AUD for each leg of their internal (to Australia) flights. We prefer to book these flights (so the group is on the same flight), and we book these flights at cost for you.

 

*Pricing Notes and More Details:

• Main Trip Price Fixed in Australian Dollars: The trip price is fixed in Australian Dollars (AUD). The final invoice will be based upon exchange rates charged by our banks about 100 days before the start of the trip.

• US Dollar Pricing: The prices presented are based upon an exchange rate of 1.56 AUD equals 1.0 USD (the actual exchange rate on November 2, 2022). 

• Note on Beverage Inclusion: We provide water during the birding day, and the guide keeps the cooler well supplied.

 

Optional Costs for Booking the Trip:

 

Single Room Supplement: $800 AUD ($520 USD). If you want a single room, please let us know. We are often able to find a roommate for those wanting to share a room with a person of the same sex.

 

Tipping for Meals/Lodging: Gratuities for hotel staff and restaurant staff are included in the pricing for this tour. However, this does not include your trip leader/bird guide/driver.

 

Notes on Other Tour Costs: Exclusions: 

• You will need to pay for any flight costs involved in this trip. 

• The tour fee does not include taxes/fees for entering or exiting the country, telephone calls, laundry, and other items of a personal nature.

• Tips for birding guides are not included in the tour price.
