2020 Pricing: $7,790 AUD ($5,280 US Dollars or £4,120 GBP*) for 14 Days and 13 Nights

 

Inclusions: 

• Tour package includes (as priced) all lodging, meals* and access fees to reserves, parks and other birding sites.

• Premier Bird Guide: All of our tours use the services of excellent local bird guides, often a well-recognized expert on birding in this area. 

• Top-Rated Preparation Services: We support your preparation on the trip. We provide information on the birds you will see and all the travel details, including all logistic details (arrival plans, trip itinerary, lodging details and more), information on entry into Australia and information on travel health issues, packing information and more. Most of our clients comment that our Trip Participation Guide is the best they have ever seen. These custom birding tour modules for Australia require additional support for scheduling and planning and building group concensus, and these services are built into the tour price.

• Transport and Airport Transfers: 

  • Local ground transport is included. This includes a large transport van for most of the trip and jeeps in some locations.

  • We will have a driver or guide pick you up at the airport upon arrival from your international flight. Transfers for flights internal to Australia often involve pick up by local guides, but most clients prefer to use taxi-cabs for their convenience. No matter your transfer plans, we arrange the best way to get you to and from the airport.

  • Flight cost for internal flights are not included. We book these at cost, and charge you the true cost of the flight.

• Acre for Bird Conservation: As part of our efforts to support bird conservation, we purchase in the name of customers (for each booking) at least one acre (but averaging between three and four acres) of wilderness to support bird conservation. As our trip prices are often 20% (and often even a better deal) less than our competition, this does not really cost you more and it is a great way to support bird conservation around the world.

• Small Group Pricing: All the prices mentioned above are for tour groups of seven or eight  participants. We are happy to provide pricing for groups with fewer than six participants, and for larger groups as well. We do find the best value tours are for four to eight participants, with most tours running as groups of five or six.

 

Possible Additions to Basic Trip Pricing:

• Flights for Northern Australia: Most clients just need four legs of internal flights for this tour, starting in Brisbane, then Cairns, then Darwin and then Alice Springs and then back out to Brisbane. These four flights book at $600 USD to $800 USD (430 to 575 GBP*).

• Flights for Northern and Southern Australia Tour Over 3 Weeks: These five internal flights (start in Brisbane, and then Darwin, then Cairns, and then Hobart, and back to Brisbane) have booked at $550 to $700 USD (395 to 505 GBP*).

 

*Pricing Notes and More Details:

 

• Main Trip Price Fixed in Australian Dollars: Trip price is fixed in Australian Dollars (AUD). Final invoice will be based upon exchange rates charged by our banks about 100 days before the start of the trip.

• US Dollar Pricing: The prices presented are based upon an exchange rate of 0.74 USD to 1 Australian Dollar. If the exchange rate changes substantially, we reserve the right to change the trip price to address these currency exchange differences. 

• Pricing in British Pounds: The prices presented are based upon an exchange rate of 0.56 GBP to 1 AUD. If the exchange rate changes substantially against the AUD (which seems unlikely), we reserve the right to change the trip price to address these currency exchange differences. 

• Bank Fees: We do not charge bank fees for wire transfers for clients paying into our accounts in the United States, the United Kingdom and/or Canada. 

• Note on Meal Inclusion: Meals include three meals per day during any full day of the trip. The arrival day does include supper. The departure day includes only breakfast, as most flights leave in the morning.

• Note on Beverage Inclusion: Most of our meals are provided by restaurants, and we have budgeted for one soft drink or bottle water at lunch and supper, and coffee or tea at breakfast.  We provide water at the table for supper. We also provide bottled water during the birding day.

• Group Size: We anticipate a group of 6 to 8 participants, and pricing (as presented) is based upon six participants. We will calculate group price and provide discounts as is possible for groups of seven and eight. Smaller groups will be offered reasonable small group supplements.

 

Optional Costs for Booking the Trip:

 

Single Room Supplement: $1200 AUD (820 USD*or 640 GBP*). If you want a single room, please let us know. We are often able to find a roommate for those wanting to share a room with a person of the same sex.

 

Tipping for Meals/Lodging: Gratuities for hotel staff, and restaurants staff are included in pricing for this tour. However, this does not include your trip leader/bird guide.

 

Notes on Other Tour Costs: Exclusions: 

• You will need to pay for any flight costs involved in this trip. 

• The tour fee does not include taxes/fees for entering or exiting the country, telephone calls, laundry and other items of a personal nature.

• Tips for birding guides are not included in the tour price.
