2025 Trip Pricing: $5,290 US Dollars or £4,170 GBP*

for 15 Days and 14 Nights

 

Inclusions: 

• The tour package includes all lodging, meals*, and access fees to reserves, parks, and other birding sites.

• Premier Bird Guide: All of our tours use the services of an excellent bird guide, often a well-recognized expert on birding in this area. 

• Top-Rated Preparation Services: We support your preparation for the trip. We provide information on the birds you will see and all the travel details, including all logistic details (arrival plans, trip itinerary, lodging details, and more), information on entry into Nepal, travel health issues, and packing information. Most of our clients comment that our Trip Participation Guide is the best they have ever seen.

• Transport and Airport Transfers: 

  • Local ground (by vehicle) and fluvial (by boat) transport as described in the trip itinerary. We always have a driver or guide pick you up at the airport and take you to your first hotel. 

• Acre for Bird Conservation: As part of our efforts to support bird conservation, we purchase in the name of customers (for each booking) at least one acre (but averaging between three and four acres) of wilderness to support bird conservation. As our trip prices are often 20% (and often even a better deal) less than our competition, this does not cost you more and it is a great way to support bird conservation around the world.

• Small-Group Pricing: All the prices mentioned above are for tour groups of seven or eight participants.  We will offer reasonable small-group supplements for group sizes of 4 to 6.

• Private and Custom Group Pricing: We are glad to provide pricing for smaller groups (including couples) or custom groups.

• Pricing in US Dollars: price fixed in US Dollars.

• British Pound Pricing: (1) Our 2025 (and late 2024) price estimates are mostly based on US Dollars; so, our GBP/British Pound pricing is based upon an exchange rate of .79 GBP (British Pound) per US Dollar (the exchange rate on March 19, 2024). (2) We will charge you the actual transaction rate here, but please note that we work to minimize transaction costs. Using Transferwise, we usually pay under one-half a percent (and sometimes less) on the actual exchange. (3) Due to costs related to UK travel regulations, our tours booked and paid through BlueTailBirding.com (for the UK and European clients) will cost 200 GBP more. Please contact us anytime with questions. 

• Bank Fees: We do not charge bank fees for wire transfers for clients paying into our accounts in the United States, the United Kingdom, and/or Canada.

• Note on Meal Inclusion: Meals include three meals daily during any full trip day. The arrival day does include lunch and supper, as most flights arrive in the morning. The departure day includes only breakfast, as most flights leave in the morning.

• Note on Beverage Inclusion: The lodges provide Most of our meals, and we follow their practices in providing beverages at meal time. Most lodge-provided breakfasts include coffee, tea, and/or juice, and most box lunches include bottled water or juice. Other beverages served at supper are your choice and are an additional expense which you pay to the restaurant directly. We provide water at the table for supper. We also provide bottled water during the birding day.

•  Group Size: We anticipate a group of 7 or 8 participants, and pricing is based on this group size.

 

Optional Costs for Booking the Trip:

 

Single Room Supplement: 780 USD (or 610 GBP *) is the price we charge for the additional cost of anyone not sharing a room with another birder (and/or a spouse). If you want a single room, please let us know. In many situations, we can find roommates for those wanting to share a room.

Pre-Paid Tipping for Meals/Lodging: Add $120 USD (or about £90 GBP*) to pre-pay these tips if in a shared room, or add $150 USD (or about £120 GBP*) if in a single room. We present clear tipping recommendations to you if you want to tip yourself. Most of our clients prefer to tip themselves.

Notes on Other Tour Costs: Exclusions:  
 

• You will need to pay your international flight cost to get from your home to and from Kathmandu in Nepal. Many people traveling from the USA or Canada can reach Nepal for about $1,200 USD (give or take $200 depending upon airline and other airline pricing factors). Most people can reach Nepal from the UK or European countries for about £600 GBP (give or take £100 depending upon airline and other airline pricing factors).  

• The tour fee does not include visa or other taxes/fees for entering or exiting the country, telephone calls, laundry, and other items of a personal nature.

• The tour price does not include tips for birding guides and trip drivers.
