Western Newfoundland and Labrador
For those who have already birded eastern Newfoundland we offer this new trip to the western side of the province, including a visit to Labrador. Many birders (and tourists in general) fall in love with Newfoundland and feel the desire to return. This trip offers the chance to see much more of the region and add a few more birds to your provincial list – with hopefully a few life birds included.

We will visit Gros Morne National Park and L’Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site. One highlight of the trip will be the two ferry crossings of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, which will offer chances to see several pelagic species.

At the end of the trip we offer a one-day extension for those interested in spending the day hiking up the second highest peak in Newfoundland, Gros Morne Mountain. Here we will be looking for nesting Rock Ptarmigans – and enjoy spectacular views of the countryside.
