Florida Winter Birding Break

South Florida in winter is a great birding destination as it includes many species of interest to US birders, while offering a short respite from the colder temperatures farther north. Coastal beaches, the Everglades, pine forests, prairies, cypress and mangrove swamps will produce a great variety of birds including several that will be new for many North American birders.
