  • We may need to adjust prices based upon drastic changes in the exchange rate.  This trip
was price in early July 2009 (when the US Dollar exchanged for about 2000 Pesos).  A drop

Uganda, June 2010:  Each Adult

breakfasts to eco-lodges (from high end tent style lodging to very nice lodge rooms).  (1)
The trip does include three nights at guest houses at basic research station in Ruhija
area.  Though best place for many endemic or near endemic species, lodging is very
basic.  A local cook will be hired to prepare our meals at this location.  A new local lodge is
being built and may be available at an additional cost.  Other options exist here as well for
an additional cost.  Single rooms are not available here.  (2) Very basic meals will also be
provided for several days at the Rainbow Hotel near Semuliki National Park.  There will be
self-contained rooms at the Rainbow Hotel.  (3) Please contact us to review websites for
lodges and discuss lodging options.  (4) Room rates may increase by as much as 5% at
some locations.  You will be charged for any additional room rate increases.  We do not
    anticipate this will exceed $150.
  • A fuel supplement is possible for this trip due to rising gasoline prices.  You may be
charged additional based upon higher gasoline costs (estimate $50 to $150).
  • Optional Costs:  The current Mountain Gorilla trek fee is currently $500 additional.  It may
increase in 2008.  Any additional costs will be past on to those choosing to pay this
    additional fee.

In most cases, pricing is set once a trip is booked.  All prices subject to change due to
exchange rate fluctuation in several countries.  We will notify you if exchange rates impact
lodging and other travel expenses to the extent that we need to change prices on a trip.  The
only other possible change in trip prices is from fuel supplements on some trips if oil prices
start to rise again.  We have only adjusted trip pricing on one trip in the last five years.

All participants must sign the Partnership for International Birding Liability Waiver.  Any
participant, who has not signed a Liability Waiver, 45 days prior to their trip will be assessed a
$50 late fee.  To date (December 14, 2009), no one has been charged this additional late fee.  A
copy of a trip liability waiver can be obtained by sending a request to charles@pibird.com.
