Melody Kehl:  Bird Guide

Melody has been a professional bird guide in Arizona since 1991.   She is a long
time Tucson resident and is an avid birder.  She has worked for several major
birding tour companies, but most of her work is on custom tours (as she likes a
constant reason to be outdoors watching the birds).  She has lead hundreds of tours
in Arizona over the years, and she presently guides over 30 weeks out of the year.
She feels every day of birding is an amazing privilege and pleasure.

Melody has a lot to offer as an Arizona bird guide.
  • Melody studied music at the university; so, birding by ear is one of her
strengths.  After finding birds, she will work to see the whole group has a
    good look at each species.
  • As a  naturalist, she has developed an intimate knowledge of Arizona’s  flora
and fauna, and she will share this with you.
  • She is active in the birding community and donates her time guiding for the
Tucson Audubon Society, as well as other non-profit groups.   She is an avid
conservationist and can answer any questions you may have about local
    environmental issues.

As a local guide, Melody is up-to-date on the local finds and hot spots (published
and/or more obscure).   She leads an excellent birding trip in Arizona every time.
Billie Gene "BG" Adams:  Trip Host

BG has been organizing trips for the "Lucky Brigade" in some manner of form over
the last dozen years.  She adds her enthusiasm for birding to the trip, but keeps the
trip paced to be inclusive of nearly all birders.  Though the group will aim to add
many new life birds to its trip list, the group will go at a comfortable and leisurely
pace.  The luck of the group often bears out daily with a few genuine rarities.

BG hosted over twenty trips for the Lucky Brigade to Costa Rica, Trinidad and
Tobago, Ecuador and now Peru.  They have had numerous trips to various birding
locales in the United States as well, including Southeast Arizona, Alaska, Atlantic
Coast, Northern California, South Texas and a number of others.
