Partnership for International Birding Update:
May 27, 2009

The Partnership for International Birding now combines the best of effective local
logistical operators (such as Neblina Forest Tours), some of the world's best bird
guides (Lelis Navarrete, Johnnie Kamugisha and Patrick Cardwell), and a number of
other key partners to
bring our customers a wide variety of choices to meet
their bird watching travel needs.
  • Our trips range in pace from more leisurely trips to those trips suited to the
    enthusiastic lister.
  • We have a number of trips to a wide variety of destinations scheduled
    throughout the year.
  • We are always willing to work with other groups (such as Audubon
organizations, local or state ornithological organizations, or simply long-
standing groups of birding friends) to support the development of their trips to
destinations in South America, Central America, Europe, Africa and some
locations in Asia.  We also support trips in North America with keen support in
California, the Pacific Northwest and Colorado.
  • If you need a family trip, we continue to work with Nestling Tours and our other
international partners to support your family's travel needs.

In every country we work, we have
developed strong and effective
relationships with the top local bird watching guides
.  The best value in every
trip is the top local guide who spends nearly every week of the year listening and
learning more and more about where different bird species can be found.  Their
expertise will allow you to see more bird species each day and provide a foundation
for learning more about the habitats and natural world you will be visiting.

All of our trips are designed for
small groups (6 to 8 participants), allowing
everyone an excellent opportunity to see the bird species they desire and to
have excellent support from guides and  hosts.

Each year, we continue to expand the scope of our services, developing new
effective partnerships around the world to support your bird watching needs.

As of this web version, I know I am missing a few trips, but keep checking here for
more 2009 and 2010 plans.

About the Partnership for International Birding!
The Partnership for International Birding provides services to
support .....
  • access to the best birding opportunities and guides worldwide
  • groups sized to be affordable and small enough to allow good
opportunities for all participants to see the bird species they
    appreciate
  • a range of pacing to meet your needs, from more leisurely pacing to pacing
    for the avid lister.
  • interesting birding trips for adults, and
  • birding trips and fun family vacations (Nestling Family Trips).

We aim to meet the travel and vacation needs of bird
watchers and those vacationing with them!
Nestling Family Trips provide services to support
interesting birding and fun family vacations.  We aim to
meet the travel and vacation needs of birders with
children.

Many birders have young children and simply want to find a way to “bring them
along”.  Nestling Family Trips provide birding tours for the whole family.
We
want birders to bring their children along and cultivate the study of birds and the
joy of birding in their children.

The Advantages of Nestling Family Trips to Birders and
Their Families:
  • Professional Bird Guides:  Nestling Tours provide access to
professional bird guides while you are on vacation.  It is sometimes
difficult to hire guides who are willing to have children along.  Nestling
Tours has found excellent and experienced bird guides who are willing
(and excited) about the opportunity to bird with families with children.
  • Children Learn to Enjoy Birding:  Our Outdoor Instructors allow children
to learn more about birds, wildlife, the outdoors, natural history and
science so they can learn to enjoy birding.
  • Family Birding Excursions:  Family birding excursions allow families to
go birding together with their children and share bird study with their
children.  These excursions will be supported by professional bird
guides and will often include the Outdoor Instructors.  Outdoor
Instructors can help children find and identify birds and learn more
about the outdoors.  Our Instructors can work with children at their pace,
    allowing more birding by parents.
  • Parent Birding Excursions:  In some cases, while the Outdoor
Instructors have engaged the children in educational and recreational
activities, the parents will have the chance to bird without their children
    with the professional bird guide.
  • Flexibility to Meet Family Vacation Needs:  Our trips will allow flexibility
to fit other family vacation needs.  During some periods of our trips, we
have allowed time for families to be together without the rest of the group
so that families can choose other activities besides birding.   Our trips
are designed to take up only part of the family vacation week.  Optional
days allow families to choose other family vacation activities.

If you have dreamed of vacations allowing great birding experiences along with
an enjoyable family vacation, please contact us (1-888-203-7464  or by email at

i
nfo@pibird.com.) and let us figure out how we can meet your family’s birding
and vacation needs.

Small group trips provide opportunities for interesting,
productive and fun birding and natural history vacations for most
bird watchers.

The Advantages of the Partnership for International Birding:
  • Group Size Balance:  Birding in small groups allows every birder to have the
opportunity to see nearly every bird on the trip  --- keeping the trip productive for all
participants.  Sharing the costs of guides and other trip costs, keeps trips affordable.
We balance these needs with group sizes of six to ten.
  • Best Local Bird Guides:  Based upon our birding experiences and the reputation of
local guides, the Partnership for International Birding has developed partnerships
with some of the best bird guides in the world and the best bird guides for the
countries in which we offer trips.  Paying for the best local guides often assures
seeing dozens more birds each day on our international trips.  By sharing these costs
with a small group, the additional costs per day rarely exceeds the cost of a movie.
  • Flexibility to Meet Your Vacation Needs:  Our trips often allow some flexibility to fit
your vacation schedule and other trip needs.  We often offer extensions to our trips,
allowing you to get the most benefit from the trip.  A selection of shorter base trips
allows you to find a trip which meets you bird-watching desires and which best fit your
vacation schedule.  We often can offer single accommodations or more affordable
shared rooms.  We are always willing to work with you to address your needs.
  • Trip Hosts:  Our trip hosts have experience with guiding bird trips and keeping trip
participants together to assure an excellent birding trip.  Many trip participants find it
helpful to have someone to ask questions and address problems which may arise
    with international travel.

If you enjoy bird watching on your vacations and enjoy exploring natural areas, please contact
us to join any of our scheduled trips.  Please contact us (1-888-203-7464  or by email at
info@PIBird.com.) and let us figure out how we can meet your birding and vacation needs.

Also, we are happy to provide any small group planning and support services to enjoy bird
watching in locations in which we have experience and expertise.
